Orlando man to compete on American Ninja Warrior tonight

Posted By on Mon, Jun 27, 2016 at 1:41 PM

Tonight's episode of NBC's American Ninja Warrior has a contestant from the City Beautiful.

Faris Xero, based out of Orlando, is running the obstacle course in tonight's qualifier.

Xero, a self-described "Renaissance Man" as well as a filmmaker, actor and more, rock-climbs at a local Orlando gym three times a week, and travels across the United States for various competitions.

Tonight's episode will show Xero's second attempt at American Ninja Warrior glory. His first attempt involved a 14-hour trip to Atlanta, Georgia, last March to compete in a walk-on competition, where he camped out in a tent outside the course for over a week. However, when he was about to get a run through the course, time ran out for the day and Xero never got a chance.

He had better luck in a Philadelphia contest where he was able to actually run the course, which will be airing tonight.

American Ninja Warrior airs tonight at 9 p.m. on NBC.
