Attorney General Loretta Lynch to visit Orlando, meet with Pulse victims' families

U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch plans to visit Orlando on Tuesday to meet with the families of Pulse mass shooting victims, first responders and others in the community affected by the June 12 attack, according to the Department of Justice.

Lynch also plans to visit site of the shooting massacre by Omar Mateen, which left 49 attendees of the gay nightclub dead and 53 wounded, Politico reports.

"I think what's important, though, is to continue keep our focus on the victims of this tragic crime as well," she said on ABC's "This Week" earlier this week. "One of the things I'll doing in Orlando on Tuesday is meeting with victims, talking about the support that we'll be providing them, as well. Because this is a community— the LGBT and Latino community— that has come under fire before, but never in as horrific manner as this."

Lynch's department and the FBI were embroiled in a small controversy Monday after deciding to release a partial transcript of Mateen's conversations with 911 operators and a crisis negotiation team that scrubbed references Mateen made to ISIS. Later, they released the full version of the transcripts.
