Video surfaces showing Disney employee fending off alligator near Splash Mountain

Last Tuesday, a 2-year-old was tragically killed by an alligator at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

Since the incident, employees have come forward claiming Disney World knew about the alligator issues. Now, a recently surfaced video shows a Disney employee fighting off  an alligator with a pole. 



The video, which was posted to YouTube in 2009, shows an employee poking an alligator with a pole that's trying to make its way on land near Splash Mountain. You can also see guests floating by in a log flume. 

Last week, Disney put up a fence around the lagoon Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, where the attack occurred, and added signs warning guests of snakes and alligators. 

Gators are a common site at Disney World, and Florida for that matter, and the video above isn't by any means the first time a tourist caught a glimpse of one in the resorts...
