Florida Gov. Rick Scott vows to rid Florida of 'radical Islam,' tighten up immigration

The shooter responsible for killing over 49 and injuring 53 at an Orlando gay nightclub last Sunday was an American-born citizen, who legally purchased his weapons, passed all background checks, and, as the CIA just announced, had no connections to Islamic terrorist groups ... or any terrorist groups for that matter.

But despite any of this, Florida Governor Rick Scott says he wants to rid his state of “radical Islam,” and toughen up the state's immigration standards.

“It’s evil,” Scott told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Thursday, June 16. “I’m responsible for 20 million people in my state and 100 million tourists. I don’t want radical Islam in my state.”

“This tragedy was clearly an attack on our gay community and clearly an attack on our Latino community,” Scott said.

In the wake of the attack on Pulse nightclub ISIS has praised the shooter, who pledged his allegiance to the terrorist group during and before his rampage. He also, strangely, praised a few other extremist organizations that are at odds with each other.
But even with an endorsement from the Islamic State, there have been zero indications that Sunday's attack was organized or perpetuated by any foreign terrorist group, let alone any immigrants.

Florida Gov. Rick Scott said President Obama has yet to call him regarding the incident.
