Watch these Special Operations troops stage a massive rescue operation in downtown Tampa

On Wednesday afternoon, Special Operations from all the world participated in a massive and rare show of force in downtown Tampa. 

As you probably gathered from the video above, the casualty-free exercise involved rescuing Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn from a hostage situation on a yacht floating near the city's convention center. 



While bystanders gawked from patios, the operation used helicopters, gunships and hundreds of blank rounds of ammunition. 

According to the the Washington Post the the 30-minute operation took four days to plan. 

Just look at Mayor Buckhorn's face while firing this machine gun...
