Quickly Boba & Snow's mochi waffle is the best way possible to celebrate #WaffleDay

While the U.S. honors the pocked pastry on Aug. 25, March 25 is the day for celebrating #waffleday internationally. Belgium invented the damn thing anyway, so we're going full gaufre on this Good Friday.

Our favorite clover-shaped waffle in town these days is the mochi waffle from Quickly Boba & Snow, which is fresh-pressed to order and comes out piping hot, covered in sweetened condensed milk (which makes everything better anyway) and served alongside a giant scoop of gelato (if you've been to Quickly before, you'll know they don't skimp on serving size). The mochi is a rice-flour-based batter, so the outside of the waffle is crispy-crunchy, while the inside remains pleasantly gelatinous and ooey-gooey (to be technical about it).

While you're there, try one of the new poke bowls and stock up on pastel-colored macarons to stuff into Easter baskets this weekend, or eat secretly, silently and blissfully in your car in the parking lot like a sugar junkie. We won't tell.
