Try not to be too shocked by this, but AG Pam Bondi has endorsed Donald Trump

Hold onto your hats – Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi endorsed Donald Trump today at his rally in Tampa. Here's her statement, per the Trump campaign:

“People today are looking for leadership, the kind that Mr. Trump offers, that’s unafraid to tell it like it is and will do something about renewing America’s strength and greatness. That’s why I am pleased to announce my support of Donald Trump for President. We have been friends for years, and I know his family personally. I’ve seen first-hand how he leads, and how he cares deeply about the people of this country. If elected President I know he will bring America’s best minds together to preserve what we have, and secure what we need, for the future.”

That's got sting a little if you're Marco Rubio. Not even Gov. Rick Scott, who penned a love letter to Donald Trump in USA Today in January, has gone there. At least not before the Florida primary. He even got kicked off MSNBC's Morning Joe as he tried to evade questions about his refusal to endorse before the Florida election and his feelings on Trump's anti-Muslim rhetoric.

Also, here's a link to a story from Miami New Times from 2013 that points out that one of Trump's foundations donated $25,000 to Bondi's campaign PAC while she was being urged to join an investigation of Trump University, against which there were several complaints filed in Florida. At the time, Bondi opted not to join the suit against Trump U because New York AG Eric Schneiderman was already leading the charge, and she reasoned that if he won, the Florida complainants would be compensated fairly anyway, so why bother? Way to look out for your constituents, Pam!

Also, here's some live video of her endorsement speech.

Meanwhile, here's a thing going around on social media's saner circuits this week.
