Florida Libertarian Senate candidate publishes LSD journals

Last year, Florida's Libertarian candidate for U.S. Senate, Augustus Sol Invictus, made headlines nationally after the Orlando lawyer said he sacrificed a goat and drank its blood as part of his religion. Now, FloridaPolitics writer Scott Powers reports Invictus has admitted to using LSD and has released his own LSD Journals

“They are both a literary experiment and a record of my experiences," Invictus tells FloridaPolitics. "Of course I acknowledge LSD use: that is the entire point of the journals."

The almost 100-page journal entries contain musings, philosophical ramblings and modern-day references (see Justin Timberlake). FloridaPolitics reports there are also "fantasies of violence."

"In one point there is a description of a fantasy of murdering a random jogger encountered in the Thornton Park neighborhood of Orlando," the news organization reports. "In another the writings declare a desire to rape a woman spotted in a Thornton Park bar. There are other, frequent allusions to guns and bullets and fantasies of their use."

Invictus tells FloridaPolitics the fantasies described are "primal currents unloosed."
