Authorities are investigating gun threats at Eastern Florida State College, campus is on lockdown

School officials at Eastern Florida State College's campus in Cocoa, Florida, are advising students and faculty to stay indoors with doors locked, while threats of gun violence are being investigated by officials. 

A post on the school's website reads, "Authorities are investigating reports of a suspect threatening gun violence on the College's Cocoa Campus. Remain indoors and lock doors until further notice." 

At 10 a.m. the school tweeted: 

And, at 10:38 a.m. the school sent out another update: 
Eastern Florida State College was also on lockdown in January of last year after a parking lot fight resulted in a person getting shot

This is a developing story. Check back for more information. 

UPDATE: Eastern Florida State has lifted the lockdown. However, classes are canceled for the day.
