It's T-minus 7 days until Orlando's municipal elections on Tuesday, Nov. 3, and the mayoral candidates (well, two out of three) are on a last-minute spending spree

According to the latest campaign finance reports, Mayor Buddy Dyer raised $70,225 in the first half of October, coming to a total of $442,798 for his campaign. He's spent $279,158, about half of the total amount, so far. In October, about $115,000 went to buying media.

Challenger Paul Paulson loaned himself another $200,000 in the same period, bringing his campaign total to $811,975. Paulson has spent $394,808 so far, and like Dyer, most of his October purchases focused on buying media.

The third candidate, Sunshine Linda Marie Grund, who has made it a point not to raise any money for her campaign, filed a waiver saying she had no activity in her campaign account in October. Early voting continues today through Sunday, and on election day, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
