Food blogger and longtime Sentinel restaurant critic Scott Joseph just broke the news that Henry and Michele Salgado have sold Txokos Basque Kitchen, their restaurant located in the East End Market food hall.

Joseph reports that the restaurant is still open, but opines that "the name and the concept are both likely to change," as it seems a member of the Pastore family (who took over 903 Mills Market roughly five years ago) is one of the new owner-managers of the space.

Chef Salgado has been nominated for the James Beard award for Best Chef: Southeast more than once, for his work at Txokos and at the Spanish River Grill, the Salgados' popular New Smyrna Beach restaurant.

The Salgados will focus on Spanish River Grill, while the fate of East End's only table-service restaurant remains uncertain for the moment.
