It's so much easier to keep your cash in the community when your community keeps dreaming up adorable ways to take your money. The two latest small businesses to fall into our inbox are Blossomis and 123 Frutty.

Blossomis is a flower subscription service that could be described as "Birchbox for flowers" ... or you could call it "boyfriend insurance." Whether you order for yourself because you like the idea of having fresh flowers around the house or office, or you order for a significant other so you know you have his/her birthday, Valentine's Day, anniversary, etc. covered for the year, it's a nice, convenient way to set it and forget it. Choose the type of bouquet you want, set up the delivery dates, and it's billed automatically. Visit Blossomis.com for more details.

123 Frutty is local artist Nathalie Chikhi's latest venture. Inspired by her baby daughter, she started developing an iPhone app using whimsical illustrations of fruit to help kids learn to count. While she continues to work on the app, she launched a sideline of baby and toddler T-shirts and onesies, a coloring book, and a tote bag using her 123 Frutty illustrations. Thus far they are only in kiddy sizes, though we're sure more than a few adult-ish types would wear the shirts if they could. To shop and learn more, visit 123Frutty.com.
