The Orlando Science Center is in the midst of a major overhaul.

It’s moving the popular Town interactive play area to the second floor, replacing the area where the original gift shop was, to make room for the new KidsTown the gift shop moved to the opposite side of the entrance.

The new gift shop debuted recently and is an impressive addition to the science center. At roughly 2,000 sq ft, this new gift shop dwarfs the old one. The typical science center gifts are still here but so are fun science t-shirts, DVDs, interactive games and one of kind Orlando gifts.

Large glass windows help make the new gift shop one of the first things Science Center visitors see. A railing along one edge of the gift shop allows patrons to look below to the NatureWorks. Natural light bathes the new space providing a more welcoming environment.

Event Network, the company that manages the gift shop, utilized brand new presentation styles in the OSC gift shop. The new gift shop is now one of the most cutting edge science gift shops in the nation. The gifts will rotate based on demand and season.

The gift shop doesn’t require admission and is open during regular science center hours.
