Meet Quasi Modo, a former shelter dog, a Loxahatchee, Florida resident and now the world's ugliest dog!

For exhibiting "excellence in ugliness," the 10 year-old, pit bull-Dutch Shepard mix took home the top prize at the 27th annual World Ugliest Dog contest last Friday in Petaluma, California.

Quasi beat out a field of 27 dogs, which are judged on categories like first impressions, unusual attributes, natural ugliness, personality and audience impression.

According to the dog's biography, Quasi likes to "run, play and enjoy life to the fullest," despite her odd appearance, which is due to multiple spinal defects.

Quasi's owners took home a $1,500 prize and will start a media tour culminating with a stop on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
