More sweet news from Orlando's fast food chains: It's National Donut Day on June 5th, so plan your morning commute accordingly and you'll score free fried rounds slathered in sugar on your way to the office (bonus points if you bring enough for the whole class).

Krispy Kreme, Winn-Dixie and Dunkin' Donuts are handing out gratis donuts on Friday, June 5. Here are the details:

Krispy Kreme: Free donut of your choice, no purchase necessary. KK just rolled out the honey bee donut, the Oreo "dirt cake" donut (complete with gummy worm) and the S'mores donut filled with marshmallow fluff. We're also partial to original glazed, so keep your eyes peeled for the Hot Doughnuts Now sign to flicker neon red first thing in the a.m.

Dunkin' Donuts: You'll have to purchase a drink to gain access to the Free Donut Day club — so, okay, DD, twist our arms — we'll order our thirteenth Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough iced coffee this week. (Seriously, sooooo good.)

Winn-Dixie: Stop by a Winn-Dixie bakery and pick up one donut hole for free– no strings attached. While Publix usually reigns supreme in the land of supermarkets, Winn-Dixie just earned some brownie points from us by participating in this day of glazed goodness.

If you're looking to pick up a dozen for your fellow office drones, might we suggest Donut King? Gone are the days of schlepping out to Minneola for some QT with your main munchie. Since the Winter Park store opened last summer, you can get your fix of donuts topped with Butterfinger, Reese's Pieces or our favorite — glazed blueberry cake.
