Oh, poutine! It's Canada's national dish, but the delectable combination of crispy steak fries, squeaky cheese curds, and rich brown gravy is hard to find in Orlando, where cheese curds are not easily available. (Though you can find versions at Smiling Bison and on the Coop's breakfast menu.) But today you're in luck, because thanks to the Foodies at the Fringe program at Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival, you can get yourself a plate of poutine today only on the Fringe Lawn.

Brian Sikorski, Fringe Board member and Executive Committee secretary, tells us, "The Fried Cheese Curds vendor on the lawn, after getting so many requests last year, is offering poutine for one day only. You heard right ... Saturday the 16th."

Hustle over — the weather is oddly nice today — and get some. But if you miss today's poutine, there are other treats on the horizon (see the Foodies at the Fringe schedule below), in addition to the usual suspects — barbecue, wood-fired pizza, fair fare like funnel cakes and fresh lemonade — and some new ones, like pastries, cheese plates and kombucha on tap from Brindle Southern Farms
