This year's Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival kicks off Wednesday, May 13, but we'll be bringing you reviews and recommendations starting today. In fact, we started previewing this year's crop of shows yesterday (even though it was Mother's Day!), in hopes that no Fringe patron is bum-steered into a comedy that's missing the laughs or a musical that hits a flat note.

This year's goal: 100 percent Fringe magic. You know the feeling: when you float out of a show that made you laugh so hard your belly aches, run into some people you haven't seen in months, and end up eating and drinking on the Loch Haven lawn until the wee hours? It's a classic part of Orlando summers and we want to help you achieve it.

So our critics are risking life and limb to see as many shows as possible: Columnist Seth Kubersky and contributors Cameron Meier, Justin Braun and Scottie Campbell will be joined by the entire OW editorial staff in reviewing this year's Fringe contenders. Use these reviews to plan your viewing and ticket-buying. Remember, the shows everyone is talking about sell out fast, so don't get left in the dust.

Also on Wednesday, catch our official Fringe coverage when the print issue hits stands, with Seth's Top 10 show picks, How to Fringe, and more. Happy Fringeing!
