Cloak and Dapper mens outfitter in Ivanhoe Village isn’t just a place to get your fancy beard sauces and luxuriously expensive plaid shirts – it’s also become something of a social club. The Parlor at Cloak and Dapper, a speakeasy that you can rent for events if you so choose (they provide the doorman, the space and the furnishings, you bring the password and the guests), hosts its second magic-themed event. The first, An Evening of Magic, was such a success that they’re doing it again, this time with “mystery entertainer” Meraux Dantes – who can read minds and bend metal – and card-trick guru Darren, who’ll open the show. This being Cloak and Dapper, don’t expect this to be a cheesy stunt show or child’s play – think sharp, Vegas-style sleight of hand, hypnotic trickery and more. Also: There will be alcohol. Drinks will be served by the Courtesy Bar and food will be provided by farm-to-table meal delivery service Farm-Haus.
