If you missed last year’s Great Orlando Mixer, you’ve probably been kicking yourself all year. (Haven’t heard the hype? Visit orlandoweekly.com to check out video of last year’s bacchanal.) Worry not; your chance to experience Orlando Weekly’s fantastic flapper-themed cocktail party has come around again. The Mixer kicks up its heels at downtown’s swanky Cheyenne Saloon tonight – sexy bartenders, Charleston-kneed dancers, trumpet-playing flappers and all. Jazz Age attire is desired (though not required – but you’ll feel like a real weak sister if you don’t dress up), and be sure to wear your dancing shoes, the better to appreciate DJ BMF’s Roaring ’20s mix. Eight bars and their craftiest bartenders will compete for your love (and your votes) with cocktails built with Templeton rye and St. Augustine Distillery gin – as far from bathtub hooch as it gets. Come get your Gatsby on!

7-11 p.m. Thursday, March 26 | Cheyenne Saloon, Church Street Exchange, 127 W. Church St. | 407-377-0400 | thegreatorlandomixer.com | $45
