Beach Slang, the Philly band opening up for Cursive at the Social tomorrow, has just announced that they're playing a not-so-secret show at Will's Pub tonight. Though they only have two EPs under their belt, they've been getting plenty of coverage from taste-making music sites like Pitchfork and Brooklyn Vegan and recently signed with Polyvinyl Records to release their upcoming debut LP. Our own music editor describes them as combining "Jawbreaker-gruff vocals with rushing punk melodies." Orlando's own Pauses open the show. If you're wondering what happened to the Singers & Songwriters night featuring Caitlin Mahoney that was originally booked tonight, have no fear. It's just been moved next door to Lil Indies, where the intimate setting should suit the personal performances.
