In the tradition of two-man parody shows like The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) comes Potted Potter, a madcap condensed romp through all seven of J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter novels. Utilizing a Room of Requirement’s-worth of wigs, props and puppets, Dan Clarkson and Jeff Turner, the two actors (and writers of the show) act out nearly every part, from Harry to Hagrid to Hermione, in an effort to give you the whole epic story while incorporating a lot of silly gags. Though the play is billed as requiring no knowledge of the Potter franchise to be enjoyed, we have a feeling you may want to at least know the difference between a snitch and a Snape if you hope to get any of the rapid-fire jokes being thrown the audience’s way like so many Riddikulus spells.

Opens 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, various times through Feb. 15 | Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, 445 S. Magnolia Ave. | 844-513-2014 | drphillipscenter.org | $37.50-$62.50
