Even though the Orlando Ballet technically debuted at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts (can we just call it the Dr. Phil?) with The Nutcracker, there were countless  troupes performing that particular piece of holiday obligation all over town. This Friday, the Ballet officially debuts their 2015 season at their new home with Tchaikovsky’s other famous ballet, Swan Lake. The classic story of a prince with a thing for poultry, Swan Lake is probably the most famous ballet ever, especially in recent years since Darren Aronofsky’s 2010 film, Black Swan, made everyone an expert. We highly recommend dancing your way around Swan Lake Eola before or after the show; just don’t mess with the actual swans.

8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, and Saturday, Jan. 24, 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25 | Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, 445 S. Magnolia Ave. | 844-513-2014 | | $43.75-$108.75
