In October, we learned that local developer Chance Gordy of Inverlad Development were planning a new mixed-use development in Ivanhoe Village. The proposed multistory complex would replace many of the single-story warehouses on Alden Road – many of which house creative businesses – with a nine-story apartment building.

Gordy will be at the Lake Formosa Neighborhood Meeting tomorrow (Jan. 20) to show off his final plans for the project, being called the Yard at Ivanhoe (or, as the project's website states, it's sometimes known as "Ivanhoe Place," which reminds us of Melrose Place, and the less said about that the better). It will likely be the last time residents have a chance to view the plans for the development before they go before the city's Municipal Planning Board. The meeting is open to the public.

If you're interested in attending, the meeting is at 7 p.m. at the Loch Haven Neighborhood Center, 610 N. Lake Formosa Drive.
