It's contest time! Orlando Weekly's annual Puppy Love issue is coming on Feb. 18, and we want to put your adorable dog on the cover!

We're now accepting entries for the first annual Puppy Love cover model contest, and Orlando area residents are encouraged to enter their dogs and puppies for a chance to be photographed and featured on the cover of our Puppy Love issue. Here's what you have to do to take part:

Email contests@orlandoweekly.com with the following:
  • Your name, address and phone number
  • A photo of your dog
  • Your dog's name, age and breed or suspected breed mix
  • Tell us why you think we should pick your dog to be on the cover of the issue
  • Tell us your dog's best trick (we may photograph him or her doing that trick, so be prepared to show it off it if you win!)
  • Tell us what you think is the best local place to take your dog
  • Tell us how you let your dog know you love him or her

DEADLINE: We must have your entries by Friday, Jan. 30 by 12 p.m. Any entries received after that time will not be eligible to win.

Orlando Weekly will select a winner and arrange for a photo shoot of the winning dog with one of our photographers. Your dog will be featured on the cover of the Feb. 18 Puppy Love issue, and we'll run a short profile of your dog in the issue. We'll also give you a hi-res digital copy of the cover featuring your dog after the issue is published.

CONTEST RULES: We do have some rules if you want to play along:

You must live in Orlando Weekly's distribution area (see map here) to participate and be willing and able to bring your dog to downtown Orlando to be photographed

To enter a dog in the contest, you must be the owner of the dog

Orlando Weekly
employees, freelancers and contractors, and immediate family members of Orlando Weekly employees, freelancers and contractors, are not eligible to win

By entering a photo in the contest, you are permitting us to use the image in print and in an online gallery of images

The winner of the contest will be contacted by email and we will announce the winner online and on our Facebook page
