From Christmas standards to soulful season's greetings and all the way to funky dance nights, these offbeat Christmas concerts shake up the holidays in Orlando. 

A Very Body // Talk Christmas
Michael Parallax and DJ Vsn Qst play Santa by throwing a wild Christmas party with all proceeds supporting the Space, to keep the indie venue going strong in 2015. (RSVP)

Holidaze Freakout
Whoa, someone put way too much sugar in Santa’s cookies, cuz this is a sweet lineup featuring Death Tremors in the first annual Death Tremors School for Boys Christmas Carol, and bands like Me Chinese, Pathos, Pathos and more. (RSVP)
4 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, at Chess Park in DeLand, $5 (if you wear a Christmas sweater), $7 (if ya don’t)

Sweater Fest
The Plush Monsters annual holiday house show unravels into a public party in the Milk District, including stages at Milk Bar, Sandwich Bar, Spacebar as well as an outdoor stage, and featuring Mojave Wilde, the Woolly Bushmen and many more. (RSVP)

Marc with a C’s 10th Annual Holiday Show
The local songwriter who sings in the key of geek collects a choir of nerdy favorites in Professor Shyguy, DJ RoboRob and My Parents Favorite Music. (RSVP)

Grandma Party [Full disclosure: I organize this event]
The local artisan fair also doubles as music fest, featuring locals like the New Lows, Wet Nurse, Ark, Me Chinese, the Welzeins and more. (RSVP)

Talk Yo Shit!: Festivus Edition
New dance party night at the Social embraces the Festivus pole to celebrate the style like true haters by airing their grievances. (RSVP)

The Imperial’s Acoustic Soundcheck with Eugene Snowden and friends: “I Souled Christmas”
Eugene throws even Kris Kringle for a loop, performing R&B and soul Christmas classics with plenty of cheer in his beer. (RSVP)

Enchantment Under the Sea of Soul

Holy Miss Moley’s 3rd Annual Twisted Christmas
Fine Orlando funk band Holy Miss Moley wants you to jam with them this holiday season, giving you a whole other reason to sing “O Holy Night.” (RSVP)
