CANCELED: Catch rapper French Montana at Venue 578

Posted By on Tue, Nov 25, 2014 at 1:33 PM

If you’re tapped into the hip-hop underground, it’s likely you discovered French Montana by stumbling upon his popular Cocaine City street DVDs and mixtapes. For the rest, it’s likely you only just recently started speaking his language with his 2013 Bad Boy/Interscope debut, Excuse My French, which was littered with guests like Drake, Rick Ross and Lil Wayne. Now hip-hop heads are on high alert as the Moroccan rapper stomps into town with his new single, “Don’t Panic,” and hopefully unreleased tracks off Mac & Cheese: The Album, due out this December. French’s flow relies on stunted hooks (“a man of few words,” says Rolling Stone). We have equally few words to adequately express excitement over this week’s show.

With Jeremih, Jean Izzo, Theolodge, Sash, Marlon Ponce, Andrew Floyd | 7 p.m. Tuesday | Venue 578, 578 N. Orange Ave. | 407-872-0066 | | $25-$40
