We’ve all heard stories about the crazy parties of the 1960s, but short of a nostalgic movie and listening to an aunt’s teary acid flashback at Thanksgiving, we could never experience it ourselves. Cue Beth Marshall’s interactive one-night-only theater experience, Beatnik Squared. Rub elbows with beats, poets, freaks and geeks from the age while sipping on jug wine and dancing funny (like they totally did back then). The audience is encouraged to dress as a hippie, beat or celebrity from the decade – no turkeys in 2014 get-ups, dig? Only shapes in drapes allowed. This is a benefit for Orlando Fringe, so you know things are going to get weird, y’all. Just put on your black beret, grab a bongo and get ready to hang out with all of the other gin mill cowboys.

7-9 p.m. | The Venue, 511 Virginia Drive | | $20
