A chill creeps into the air and everyone’s getting a little drunk on fall; that means it’s perfect kilt weather. Dust off your bagpipes and brush up on your Scottish cultural history so you’re ready for the most immersive Scottish shindig to hit Central Florida this fall. Scottish bands and musicians perform throughout the weekend as the Scottish games rage on: brilliant barbaric events like the truck and car pull, stone carry, keg toss over bar and many other events designed to show off the brute strength that comes with being of a particular Highland heritage. Along with the traditional Celtic music, enjoy the tastes and brews of Scotland. The only thing missing from this party is Nessie, but maybe you could head over to Lake Dora, look for giant gators and pretend.
