Pleasure Island started closing clubs in Downtown Disney about six years ago to make way for Disney Springs, slated to open in 2015. Yesterday, Disney confirmed two restaurants opening in the Landing section of Disney Springs: Morimoto Asia (as we reported in Tip Jar back in March) and the Boathouse.

The Boathouse is being developed by the same folks who brought us Rainforest Cafe, T-Rex and Yak & Yeti. With steaks and seafood on the menu, the waterfront spot also offers two unique experiences: "romantic Captain’s guided tours aboard the Venezia, a beautifully crafted 40-foot wooden Italian water taxi, featuring champagne toasts and chocolate-covered strawberries," and  "guided Amphicar rides that launch from land, entering the water with a splash, taking guests on a 20-minute tour of the landmarks of Disney Springs." (Let me just repeat that: AMPHICAR.)

We're even more excited about Morimoto Asia, though. This will be Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto's first pan-Asian restaurant, featuring flavors from all across the continent. In addition to this one-of-a-kind dining experience, the restaurant will also offer exhibition kitchen demos, featuring things like Peking duck carving and dim sum.

“I’m very excited to bring this new concept to Disney, something I’ve always dreamed of,” said Chef Morimoto on the Disney blog. “It’s a wonderful chance to share some of my favorite foods from across the Asian continent.”

Like the Boathouse, Morimoto Asia will also be sited waterfront, with terraces, a cocktail lounge, a grand hall and rooms for private parties. It'll take over the space once inhabited by Mannequins. Wonder if it'll have a rotating sushi bar?
