Hunt skunk apes and win prizes at Gatorland this weekend

Has Bigfoot crossed the country to grace dear Florida with its presence? See for yourself on Saturday, Oct. 25 and Sunday, Oct. 26 at Gatorland for a Skunk Ape scavenger hunt. If you're able to spot this hairy oversized creature throughout the park, you might just score some cool prizes.

With no more than a camera and an Instagram account, you can win big for just capturing his photo in the swampy depths of this gator capital. Skunk ape hunters must snap a clear photo of this northwestern native and post it to their Instagram account using the hashtag #GatorlandSkunkApe. Participants will automatically be entered to win a gift package worth over $500, including the opportunity to be a trainer for a day deal.

The skunk ape hunt started with a frantic phone call from guests in the park, adamant about the sight of Bigfoot. "We were amused at the first phone calls," Gatorland president, Mark McHugh stated. "But as the sighting became more frequent, we felt a full blown investigation was in order." And so the search for Bigfoot began. Watch the video below:
