In true Orlando City Lion, style, this will not be a boring shovel-in-the-dirt ceremony at all. Just look at the shovels designed by Earl Funk:

Fans will have from 5:30 p.m. (when the march officially starts, erm, marching) until 7:20 p.m. (when the shovels hit the dirt) to meander their way over to the stadium location, purple pride shining bright. Continuing with their strong social media presence (see #paintthecitypurple), OCSC takes over every single Clear Channel Digital Billboard in Orlando tomorrow and all images hashtagged #wedigpurple on Instagram will be displayed city-wide. Another bonus for attendees of the event? A take-home souvenir! Rumor has it that those with #purplepride who sign up in advance online will receive a commemorative paint can to take home a keepsake amount of the 24 tons of purple sand being used for the event.
