The best Third Thursday of them all has arrived, and, of course, it’s Day of the Dead-themed! All galleries will exhibit works by local and national artists as per usual, but Pine Street will be closed to host a block party and performances by tribal dancers, steampunk thespians, speed painter Salvador Live, live music from Outer Toons and the Ludes and psychic readings by a Chilean shaman. Vendors and kids’ craft activities will line the street, and food vendors will be on hand for your food-in-face needs. Our favorite bit is the installation by Stephen Carey, called Resurrected Love, where a hand will pop out of a grassy grave to give out love letters from the dead. Delicious! So grab your obligatory sugar skull memorabilia and come shake your bones!
