Planned Parenthood looks to raise funds with "Our Roaring Twenties" costume party

7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17 | Orchid Garden at Church Street, 122 W. Church St. | 407-246-1788 ext. 104 | | $100 suggested donation

Feel pretty in pink at Planned Parenthood’s annual “Pinktober” event. Celebrate 20 years of reproductive health in Central Florida and the opening of the new state-of-the-art health center by Planned Parenthood in Kissimmee. Our Roaring Twenties rolls into this pink-bash-heavy month with a Jazz Age theme featuring an open bar, complimentary hors d’oeuvres and music to dance the night away. Tickets are available via sponsorship, with $100 donation suggested as a good starting point; all funds are welcome, however! You’re not required to costume yourself to fit the ’20s theme, but why not go ahead and get your pink on for breast cancer research? If you meet someone special, don’t worry: There will be plenty of condoms around for you to take home too! – Rock Kelly
