Last November See Art Orlando made history by introducing eight brand new sculptures, all made by different artists, in the downtown area making it the largest permanent outdoor sculpture collection constructed at one time.

Now, See Art Orlando is really breakinging the mold with a fantastic new app rightfully called See Art Orlando, which will serve as a walking tour guide and automatic information delivery system regarding its sculptures, artists and sponsors.

Thanks to the guys at Echo Interaction Group, who designed and donated the app, users will be alerted when they are near a See Art Orlando sculpture and presented with information specific to each piece. Not only can users discover information about the artwork, they will also earn a badge for every new piece.

The See Art Orlando app is currently available for free download on iPhones and iPads. It is a truly innovative app being the first one of its kind to utilize iBeacon.

See Art Orlando is a non-profit organization comprised of community leaders  who represent a

cross section of arts organizations, including United Arts, Downtown Arts District and Florida

Theatrical Association.

"See Art Orlando’s mission is to enhance the aesthetic experience and cultural image of Downtown Orlando through a major Public Sculpture Community Project. The installation of iconic works of art throughout the City will bring National and International attention to Orlando and will add to the economic viability of the community."

The sculpture pictured above, Astrogenesis II by Wendy Ross, rises almost 30 feet in the air and represents the flowering of possibilities. Each of the eight unique pieces of art are different in size and made from various mediums that can be found in Orlando. The diversity of these sculptures illustrate the diversity of the city.  It seems See Art Orlando is molding downtown Orlando into a cultural oasis, one beautiful sculpture at a time.
