5 massive shows coming to Orlando you don't wanna miss

Posted By on Mon, Sep 8, 2014 at 4:31 PM

There's much to look forward to before 2014 ends if you're a music fan in Orlando - Belle and Sebastian, Banks, and Twin Shadow hit the right notes early this fall - but if you're a fan of massive tours, some of our biggest venues have some of the brightest shows on their schedules in the coming months. Below are five huge acts it'd be no small mistake to miss.

Chvrches - Tuesday, Oct. 7 - House of Blues

The electro-pop trio is coming all the way from Glasgow (mostly due to the pure will of Billy Manes, who will be interviewing the band in one of his rare music features you will not want to miss), which is our first chance to see them perform their exciting 2013 debut, The Bones of What You Believe live.

Flying Lotus - Thursday, Oct. 9 - The Beacham

Turns out Flying Lotus' newest album title is pretty apt for how his Orlando fans must feel about his upcoming show - You're Dead only increases the critical acclaim that the avant-garde producer has received over the course of now five studio albums. Expect him to pack out the massive club, because this is the first non-festival date on his tour, and the album drops just days before showtime (Oct. 7).

Interpol - Friday, Nov. 7 - House of Blues

Suit up for Interpol's always impressive live show when they come to House of Blues in November, touring on their new release, El Pintor, (which drops tomorrow, Sept. 9, heads up!) the first album from the post-punk revivalists in four years.

Usher - Friday, Dec. 12 - Amway Center

Take a deep breath and exhale nice and slow, because Usher is coming to Orlando, touring on his eighth studio album, UR, and whether UR ready or not, they've released this teaser:

The Black Keys with St. Vincent - Thursday, Dec. 17 - Amway Center

The Black Keys took a short break between 2011's El Camino and this year's recently released Turn Blue, yet another awesome collaboration between the duo and Danger Mouse that marked their first chart-topping debut in the U.S. (Fun fact, Black Keys' Patrick Carney wrote the Bojack Horseman theme song you can't get out of your head, too.) It'll be a battle between the two and St. Vincent to see who packs a bigger punch in our biggest venue. (Don't forget, you can also catch St. Vincent at the Beacham next month!)
