Mellow Mushroom celebrates 40 years with throwback pricing (including 75-cent beer)

On Wednesday, Aug. 20, Mellow Mushroom will be taking a trip in the time machine. Orlando's pick for Best Pizza in our Best of Orlando 2014 Reader's Poll is celebrating their fortieth birthday by offering items from their original menu ... at the original prices. For one day only, which the 'Shroom is dubbing "Wayback Wednesday," diners will be able to buy a small cheese pizza for $2.5o, Michelob, Budweiser and PBR for 75 cents and Coca Cola products for 30 cents.

In addition to the low, low retro pricing, Mellow Mushroom is also providing customers with another way to celebrate 40 years of hippie pizza deliciousness. Customers can enter to win a trip to Amsterdam by taking their pic in front of a backdrop on the original location of the pizza restaurant (there will be one present at each Mellow Mushroom location throughout the month of August) and uploading it to Instagram with the tag #40yearsbaked.
