Capital One to end bowl game sponsorship?

Hot on the heels of the news that Tostitos and Discover will be ending their sponsorships of the Fiesta and Orange Bowls, respectively, comes a rumor that Capital One may end their sponsorship of Orlando's Citrus Bowl. Right now, Capitol One is in discussions to fill the void left by Discover at Miami's Orange Bowl. Once the contract is finalized, Capitol One will terminate their sponsorship of the Citrus Bowl.

While it would be nice to simply revert back to calling the college playoff bowl game the "Citrus Bowl," it's still gonna require a sponsorship of some sort, so we came up with a few suggestions for potential sponsors:

Get a sponsorship from one of the theme parks; keep things local. Name it the "Mickey Bowl" or, better yet, "The Quidditch World Cup." Yeah, yeah, we know it's not a Quidditch match, but still, imagine the magical halftime show!

We're all het up about Trader Joe's coming to Winter Park this month, so maybe they could pay us back for all that love by sponsoring our bowl game. We could call it the "Two Buck Chuck" bowl.

A Chipotle sponsorship. Call it the "Burrito Bowl."

Our dream choice, though? Snag a sponsorship from the Florida Citrus Council, so that the game could simply be called the "Citrus Bowl."

The renovations of the Citrus Bowl are moving right along. You can watch a live video stream the reconstruction via this live webcam
