Every year, we pause to assess what makes Orlando a place we're proud to call home. We survey the city on an array of categories to cover as much ground as possible to highlight the best of the best of Orlando food and drink, goods and services, sports and recreation, music and nightlife, and local color. We call it Best of Orlando, and this year we are doing things a little differently in more ways than one. First, we asked our Facebook fans to nominate new categories. The responses gushed forth and brought to light ideas we'd never considered in previous years. Now, we're letting you guys decide - which of these Orlandoan-nominated categories deserves a spot on the 2014 Best of Orlando survey? First round of voting ends 5 p.m. Friday, April 11, so lock your votes in to make sure your favorite category makes it to the next round. Curious what else has changed this year to give Orlando natives more of a say as to what's best about our city? More info here.
