March 4 is National Pancake Day. You could celebrate at a multinational chain restaurant: wait in line with hundreds and hundreds of other people to get your free stack from IHOP – or you can celebrate like a local and hit up one of these places for a stack. Trust me, you'll be glad you paid.

Not only will you have to pay for your own pancakes at the  The Old Spanish Sugar Mill, but you'll have to cook them, too. For $4.95 per person, you'll be handed a pitcher of batter and instructions on how to make the pancakes using the griddle built into your table. It's kind of like Korean BBQ, but breakfast-y.

With seven locations in the Orlando area, Keke’s Breakfast Café is a chainlet, sure, but unlike IHOP they don't have a location in Dubai. If celebrating National Pancake Day in true Floridian style is what you're into, then you should partake in their Florida Style Pancakes, with fresh strawberries, bananas, blueberries and powdered sugar. Although, I don't know how they can call something Floridian with nary an orange on it.

Another Broken Egg Cafe is a newcomer to the Orlando breakfast scene (and yes, also a chain

get off my back already) but here are two things that make them awesome: Bananas Foster pancakes and Sweet Potato Pancakes. As if pancakes couldn't get any better, Another Broken Egg Cafe adds bananas, pecans, whipped cream and that delicious traditional bananas Foster sauce for the former. If you want to eschew traditional pancakes altogether, give the Sweet Potato pancake a shot. Smothered in cinnamon-marmalade infused syrup and topped with whipped cream and spiced pecans, this nontraditional pancake won't let you down.

If these three restaurants don't fit your National Pancake Day requirements, here are a few more that might satisfy your rumbly tummy:

Go forth and get yourself pancaked!
