Happy 169th birthday, Florida!

Today is Florida's birthday! Purchased from Spain and admitted to the Union on March 3, 1845, we snuck in right after Michigan but before Texas (YOU HEAR THAT, TEXAS? WE'RE OLDER, SO WE GET DIBS ON THE NINTENDO). That's 169 glorious years of oranges, shark attacks, and enough humidity to stun a yak. Sure, we may not have breathtaking mountains like Colorado or pretty sunflowers like Kansas, but we did give the world Delta Burke, so it all evens out.

Now, in the words of esteemed Florida resident Robert Van Winkle, "Yo, VIP ... let's kick it!"
