Cue the dancing ewoks: Star Wars Weekends extended at Disney

This year wampa jockeys and jawa jigglers will have even more time to boogie down Tatooine style as Disney's Hollywood Studios has extended their famed "Star Wars Weekends" one extra weekend. And a great cry of "Utini!" was heard across the galaxy.

Visitors will be encouraged to "join the rebellion" through mid-June, which is Disney-speak for "watch Chewbacca pretend to be Axl Rose." Not that there's anything wrong with that. Chewie gotta make that paper. You'd probably never see Biggs Darklighter lip-synching to hits of the '80s, though (mainly because he died in the first movie).

The full "Star Wars Weekends" schedule is as follows:

  • Weekend I: May 16 – 18, 2014
  • Weekend II: May 23 – 25, 2014
  • Weekend III: May 30 – June 1, 2014
  • Weekend IV: June 6 – 8, 2014
  • Weekend V: June 13 – 15, 2014
