New Mickey Mouse short, "Sleepwalkin'"

Posted By on Tue, Dec 10, 2013 at 10:00 AM

When Mickey agrees to watch over Goofy one night to keep him safe while he sleepwalks, the night turns out a little bit more strenuous than Mickey bargained for.

This may be the best, or at least the funniest, of the new batch of Mickey Mouse cartoons. The story is silly and not all that innovative, but the sight gags are really great. Director Paul Rudish and his team really outdid themselves, especially in a short that only has two characters the whole time. The last Mickey/Goofy short, Potatoland, got away from them a little bit. Not only in scope, but in time management as well, running at almost 8 minutes. This is tight and compact and sticks in a laugh every few seconds.
