Rockin' roller derby: Arkham Assailants vs. Serial Thrillers at Semoran Skateway

Sunday, June 9 – Arkham Assailants vs. Serial Thrillers

4;30 p.m.

Semoran Skateway

2670 Cassel Creek Blvd., Casselberry

It’s the rematch we’ve all been waiting for – and by “all,” we mean all of you Orlando roller derby enthusiasts. This weekend the Arkham Assailants and the Serial Thrillers go head-to-head once again to battle it out at Semoran Skateway for an all-ages event hosted by the Orlando Psycho City Derby Girls. Let your hair down and slip off your heels – but seriously, don’t wear heels because they’re not allowed on the track – for a fast-paced, full-contact skirmish between some seriously bad mamma jammas who aren’t afraid to get down and dirty in roller skates. Following the match, meet up at Friendly Confines in Winter Park for an afterparty, which also promises to be fast-paced and full-contact. For the no-nonsense derby girls, this match might be hell on wheels, but for attendees it’s an excuse to have a few drinks and support the local charities that proceeds from the event will benefit. – Lauren Killer
