Calling all creeps: Your midyear fright fest is back and bigger than ever. If you’re looking for a prime example of how passionately robust Orlando’s horror community is, you can find them all in one bloody hive for a few days – and you might even meet a few celebrities along the way. Zakk Wylde (Ozzy Osbourne, Black Label Society) and a slew of other icons make appearances this weekend alongside face-melting live music and a tattoo festival. The icing on the skin-cake, of course, is the Zombie Walk on Friday. If you’ve never been to a Spooky Empire event, you owe it to your bucket list to check this one out. Just be prepared: That bucket may be occupied by a severed human head. – Adam McCabe
