Good at Bad Decisions show features local comics

Posted on Wed, May 15, 2013 at 1:00 PM

Thursday, May 16 – Good at Bad Decisions III: Springtime for Bad Decisions

9 p.m.

Will's Pub

1042 N. Mills Ave.

We’re not sure what (or where) we were drinking, but at some point over the past year, a hirsute breed of alternative stand-up hopefuls hit critical mass against the typically depressing Orlando nightlife scene. While it would be convenient to think that this was a natural outgrowth akin to the Jerry-Seinfeld-begat-Patton-Oswalt continuum – Orlando has long suffered the lowest-common-denominator rungs of touring comedy – it’s just as likely that this new, clever streak of public self-deprecation falls in line with other cultural advances the city seems to make in spite of itself. So, awesome? Anyway, this is the third installment of successful series of buddy shows, featuring friends/comedians Larry Fulford, Alex Luchun, Nick Pupo, Luke Swiderski and Clay Robertson deadpanning and grimacing their way through lived-in embarrassments best shared with beer in your beard. You haven’t really screwed up unless a good story comes out of it. – Billy Manes
