Hey, if you somehow managed to miss the billboards all over town, we’re here to remind you that Orlando International Fringe Theatre Festival starts this month (Wednesday, May 15, to be exact), so you should be very excited. If you need any help getting excited – and, really, what’s your problem? – the wizards who produce Fringe have united with the masterminds of the Mills 50 and Ivanhoe Village districts to organize this fun-day-Monday taste-of-Fringe get-excited pre-party pub crawl for you. It’s kind of a genius deal: Buy a $10 wristband, get drink specials at eight bars (eight bars! Wally’s, Will’s Pub, BART, the Peacock Room, the new Matador, Hideaway, Hammered Lamb and Savoy) and free transportation between them all (courtesy of O-Cartz). That should be enough right there, but wait, there’s more. Surprise tastes of several Fringe performances will pop up here and there throughout the night, to whet your appetite for all the fun to come May 15-28. So, cheap drinks, check; designated drivers, check; free entertainment, check; cool neighborhoods, check

all you need to come up with on your own is a Tuesday-morning hangover cure. – Jessica Bryce Young
