Posted By on Wed, May 8, 2013 at 2:20 PM

If you've checked out the online edition of This Little Underground over the past couple weeks, you might have noticed a new component to our live music column: video. Each week, I'm going to meet up with Bao at shows to capture video, that we're calling TLU TV, that I hope communicates various positive aspects of Orlando's music scene.

I want to capture the crowd (or the lack thereof) to illustrate how much fun can be had or how much talent is going unnoticed at venues all over town, and so far, Will's Pub, the Social and Lil' Indies have been very obliging to my introductory skills at shooting and capturing live sound. As my skills (hopefully) sharpen and my technology (hopefully) improves, this video series should only improve, but I'm excited and proud to unveil the first three videos in the series, featuring Lauris Vidal, then Laura Stevenson and the Cans and lastly (for now!), Saskatchewan. Below is a playlist of all three, or you can check out one video at a time at

This series will feature local and national acts, as well as music-leaning events around town. Side note to artists: If I post a video of your performance that you wish to be removed, please email
