Anthony Bourdain hits Orlando's Hard Rock Live stage

Posted By on Wed, Apr 24, 2013 at 11:00 AM

Friday, April 26 – Guts & Glory: An Evening With Anthony Bourdain

8 p.m.

Hard Rock Live

6050 Universal Blvd.

When it really comes down to it, most approach Anthony Bourdain with a “love it or leave it” conviction. Fans of his TV ventures follow his every mutter on ABC’s The Taste and CNN’s Parts Unknown, while others (hey, Paula Deen!) stay clear of his biting retorts. You could call him a chef, an author of four books and a global nomad, but if you ask Bourdain himself, he’ll tell you (among other things) what he’s not: “I am not a journalist. I am not a foreign correspondent. I am, at best, an essayist and enthusiast. An amateur.” But we know as well as he that this isn’t Bourdain’s first go-round. And all bets are off as he makes his way to Orlando’s Hard Rock Live stage this week for a no-holds-barred Q&A bit. We anticipate a sold-out show, so we’d suggest you visit for the chance to win a pair of free tickets. Oh, and unless you can take it back threefold, we’d recommend leaving the smart-ass quips at home for this one. – Aimee Vitek
