Score used treasures at the Knights Plaza Garage Sale

Posted By on Fri, Apr 19, 2013 at 12:00 PM

Saturday, April 20 – Knights Plaza Garage Sale

9 a.m.-3 p.m.

UCF Arena

Building 50, N. Gemini Blvd.

We know a (probably not-so) secret when it comes to garage sale shopping: One of the best places to score used treasures is move-out day on a college campus. We’ve scoured the end-of-semester piles of thrown-out furniture at Rollins College, and you better believe we’ll be perusing this garage sale at UCF. Students and the public alike can pay $10 for a table to sell, buy or trade items – anything from appliances to furniture to electronics to household decor and sports equipment. But, if you’re more into buying, just show up with some cash and get to the shopping. Unsold items at the end of the day will be donated to AmVets and Knights Pantry, but we’d be surprised if you walk away empty-handed. And you may very well scoop up that one coveted item you’ve been long searching for. Remember, though, it’s a college campus, so that could mean a fixie bicycle, or an IKEA coffee table, or a slightly worn Twilight wall poster. – Aimee Vitek
