There’s not a lot of opportunity in Orlando for people to experience the open-studio concept, which is why this event is truly something to look forward to when it happens. The 21 artists who work at McRae – all of whom are chosen by a jury-selection process – open their doors to the public and invite people to browse, ask questions and (hopefully) purchase some art. Works by Dina Mack, Lynn Whipple, Chip Weston, Krista Berman and others will be on display and for sale, and according to McRae, don’t assume everything here is going to be outside of your price point. Artworks range in price from $25 to $5,000 – so if you’re on a budget and think all you can afford to adorn your walls is mass-produced prints from Ikea, think again. – Erin Sullivan
